Dorri – A-MAZING!! …professional, reliable, smart, attentive, patient, diligent, considerate, passionate about pets/animals, super-responsive, doesn’t price-gauge, accommodating…Over a 10-day period, she (sent) us pics (and) daily communications, went above and beyond to manage household issues, took our diabetic dog to the vet and keep his food and insulin intake in perfect harmony! …she understood the needs of our “family” (three dogs and one cat). When we returned home, (she had left) notes and the house was cleaner … than when we left!!! AMAZING.
She is FABULOUS!!! I cannot praise her enough. She didn’t just scoop poop and feed my cat, she spent time with my Chloe and gave her the affection she needed during our absence. Dorri was in contact with us every day while we were on vacation, texting me pictures of Chloe and reporting on her health (my cat had health problems … which require monitoring). Chloe is a very discerning cat. She doesn’t like everyone. She LOVES Dorri. I think that says it all. 🙂
Dorri is a true professional and loves what she does. I am so happy to have found her when we moved to PA. She treats my Doberman as if she were her own.
Dorri was great, she was extremely accommodating and professional. The daily texts and pictures were much appreciated. It was clear she cared as much about my cats well being as I did. I felt she was reasonably priced for the services we discussed, but she also vacuumed the litter box areas and emptied trash to ensure everything was nice and clean when we got home. I will definitely use Dorri again.
The best service that we could ever hope for for our two pugs! She made them feel secure and happy and she bonded with them. She took a ton of photos of them, complete with hilarious comments. She totally figured out their personalities. Dorri (sent) those photos and a report … 2-3 times a day. We really appreciated seeing a lot of photos…. …she also took in our mail, dumped our dehumidifier, talked with our neighbor, gave our one pug her antihistamine, made them (special) food …, gave them occasional treats, let them sit on her lap and generally made them happy. You could see they loved her by what they’d do when she was there. … our dogs had been to a kennel before and did fine, (but) I always wondered how they were doing. (With) Dorri there … I never had to wonder and could see they were doing great. …she was more reasonable than the kennel … AND it was way better for our dogs. Cannot say enough good things about her and her service and I highly, highly recommend her! The whole family agrees – she’s the best!! I know our dogs think so (too) by the great greeting they gave her … they’re buddies now!
Dorri is the BEST in home dog sitter we have ever had!! We recommend her without reservation. We have two miniature poodles. One is a rescue who growls and barks at strangers who come into the house.
Dorri came to our house to meet us and “the boys” several weeks before our four-day trip. She asked many good questions about the house and dogs and took notes. She also gave us a form to fill out with what info she might need. On the day of our trip she arrived promptly. Of course the dog growled at her. After we left he continued to growl. She called us as she was concerned he might be sick. Once reassured that we was OK, she told us all would be fine, and it was! She texted us … with updates and photos of the dogs. The pictures, sometimes including humorous captions, were very comforting. She also washed the sheets and towels and straightened up the house for our return.
I think many sitters would have crossed us off their client list after that rough start. Not Dorri! A few months later she stayed again for three days. …
We are going away again next year and have already confirmed the dates with her. She is the BEST. Not only conscientious, but she truly likes dogs and … dogs know it. Our “boys” (certainly) know it!”
Dorri cares for your pet like the pet is her own. My dog gets so excited to see her every time she visits. I could not ask for a better person to care for my dog. She truly cares for (your pet and house), and leaves your house cleaner than you left it! Top notch!
My wife and I have used Dorri for many years to care for our dog and cats while we’re on vacation or even a weekend getaway. Our pets absolutely love Dorri and the care that she gives them. Dorri is meticulous in the care, feeding, and recording of her visits, giving us a daily sense of how things went. We also enjoy the photos that she texts us of the “guys” enjoying their time with Dorri. Recently, one of our cats had a tough final few months before we needed to have the vet put him down. During this time, Dorri cared for Sopris so we could get away for a weekend. She hand-fed our cat the food and medicine prescribed by the vet to ease his pain and allow him to enjoy his last few months. Her care for cats and dogs is really quite remarkable. We recommend her highly.
Dorri came by to take care of our 2 dogs while my fiance and I were out of town for the night. She walked them, fed them, spent time playing with/cuddling them and let them out again before settling them back into their crates for the night. Dorri is trustworthy and reliable. I have known her for many years…and I am completely comfortable having her stay at our house and take care of our two dogs (one of whom is a bit high-maintenance)! I only needed Dorri for the one evening (this time) because my roommate (at the time) was back late that night and able to take care of the pups the next morning; however, I have already secured Dorri’s services for another weekend this summer, and for a longer stretch in October when we go on our honeymoon. 🙂 I never worry about the pups when I know Dorri is taking care of them. She texts me pictures and messages while she visits with them to let me know how they were doing, which is certainly not something I require of her; nonetheless I enjoy knowing they are well taken care of. In fact, I have already recommended Dorri to others looking for petsitting services!
House and pet sitting for our two dogs for five nights. She took great care of our dogs, gave them their medicine on schedule, kept the house clean, picked up the mail, took out the trash. and watered the plants. We have used Dorri over the past year for trips out of town. We interviewed every dog sitter in our area and we were at a loss – we were starting to think that we were not going to be able to go on any trips. And then we discovered Dorri Friedman on Angie’s List. One of our dogs, Tess, is a rescue dog and is quite nervous around people. It took several visits for Dorri and Tess to get comfortable with one another. But Dorri hung in there. Some of the visits were for an hour only, but Dorri always showed up on time. Plus when she visits we get text messages of when she arrives and when she leaves. And we get lot of photos texted to us throughout every visit. After the five day trip, she wrote a long report on the dogs daily activities. And much to our surprise, she vacuumed the areas of the house she was in and cleaned the bathroom fixtures before leaving.
Dorri provides pet sitting while on vacation. She will do pretty much anything you ask her to do. We have used Dorri for two different vacations this year. We have a cat who is very shy of strangers but somehow Dorri was able to coax her out and make friends with her – the cat even started to greet Dorri when she came to the house! Dorri clearly knows her way around cats. She provided us with regular updates via e-mail including pictures and gave us a written log for the entire 8 days she came to take care of the cat, including how much she ate each day, whether she had any hairball treatment, etc. Her prices are reasonable but her services are invaluable. I highly recommend her services!
Dorri took care of my 70 pound dog, and three cats while we were away. She spent 24 hours with them, staying overnight at our house, and taking in our mail as well. Dorri was completely professional and very easy to work with. She came to our house for a introduction visit, staying long enough to go through all the routines to feed the cats and dog, and also taking time to walk the dog with me so that she understood how to control her. She had a comprehensive form for us to fill out with all the pets’ details included. The week before, she touched base again, confirming our appointment. While we were away she sent photos and text messages ensuring the dog and cats were doing great. We came home to very happy pets. Dorri documented her stay completely. We had complete peace-of-mind while we were away. And to top it all off, her overnight rate was VERY reasonable. I will be using her services often!
Dorri has cared for my 2 chocolate labs on numerous occasions. She has stayed overnight with them and also cared for them during the day as needed. Dorri is like one of the family. I completely trust her with my 4 legged children as well as my 10 year old twins. She immediately bonded with my animals. My pets were extremely calm around her, which is due to her great demeanor. She took them on walks, played fetch with them in the backyard and snuggled with them on the couch – just like we do. This is a great alternative to sending them to the kennel. Having my pets be able to stay in their home, where they are comfortable is a plus. Dorri ensures they are safe, comforted and very trustworthy.
